Below is a 9x9 matrix. Complete the following "brain-booster" challenge:
1. Begin at the cell labelled “B” and find the shortest path to the cell labelled “E”.
2. Follow the arrows in each cell to move in the indicated direction; a hashtag allows movement horizontally or vertically, but not diagonally.

Logic Lane
Hulk and four of his avenger friends always sit together in the lunchroom and share their lunches. Today, they enjoyed a diverse meal as each avenger had a different type of sandwich on a different type of bread (one was rye) and a different type of dessert (custard, grapes, melon, ice-cream, or apple pie). Using the clues provided, determine which avenger brought each type of sandwich, the type of bread it was on, and the type of dessert they had.
Captain America, who didn't have grapes or ice-cream for dessert, didn't have a cheese or mutton sandwich. His bread was neither white nor whole wheat.
The avenger with grapes for dessert, who isn't Iron Man, didn't have a tomato sandwich. The one with melon for dessert, who didn't have an egg sandwich, didn't have white bread.
The avenger with the Italian bread didn't have a custard for dessert. The one with the chicken sandwich didn't have melon or apple pie for dessert.
Neither Captain America nor Thor had multi-grain bread or an egg sandwich. The one with multi-grain bread didn't have an egg sandwich or grapes.
The avenger with the tomato sandwich, who isn't Captain America, didn't have Italian or whole wheat bread. Captain Marvel, who didn't have whole wheat bread, didn't have a cheese sandwich.
The avenger with whole wheat bread didn't have a cheese or egg sandwich. Thor didn't have a cheese or mutton sandwich. The one with the egg sandwich didn't have grapes or ice-cream for dessert.
Using this information, determine the sandwich, bread, and dessert each avenger had.
Magic Math
To Calculate AB*AC
Where A, B, and C are digits of the decimal system, and B+C = 10
Step 1: Multiply A with (A+1) to get the first part of the answer.
Step 2: Multiply B with C to get the second part of the answer. If B*C is a
single digit, put a zero before it.
Example 1: 73*77 =?
Step 1: 7*8 = 56 (A = 7, A+1 = 8, 56 = first part of the answer)
Step 2: 3*7 = 21 (B = 3, C = 7, 21 = second part of the answer)
Answer = 5621
Example 2: 112*118 =?
Step 1: 11*12 = 132 (A = 11, A+1 = 12, 132 = first part of the answer)
Step 2: 2*8 = 16 (B = 2, C = 8, 16 = second part of the answer)
Answer = 13216
Note: This method can also be used for higher numbers satisfying the two conditions.

Self Awareness
“Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.”
― C.G. Jung
“It isn't normal to know what we want. It is a rare and difficult psychological achievement.”
― Abraham Harold Maslow
“As you become more clear about who you really are, you'll be better able to decide what is best for you - the first time around.”

Moment of Truth - Self Awareness
During the 2008 campaign, after a disastrous debate performance against Governor Mitt Romney, President Barack Obama’s whole campaign was in crisis mode. Here is Obama reacting to his campaign managers’ frantic pleas to change his debate style, from the book ‘Double Down’:
“Last night wasn’t good, and I know that. Here’s why I think I’m having trouble. I’m having a hard time squaring up what I know I need to do, what you guys are telling me I need to do, with where my mind takes me, which is: I’m a lawyer, and I want to argue things out. I want to peel back layers…
It’s against my instincts just to perform. It’s easy for me to slip back into what I know, which is basically to dissect arguments. I think when I talk, it can be halting. I start slow. It’s hard for me to just go into my answer. I’m having to teach my brain to function differently.
I can’t tell you that ‘Okay, I woke up today, I knew I needed to do better, and I’ll do better…I am wired in a different way than this event requires.
I just don’t know if I can do this.”
This proved to be a cataclysmic moment for the campaign. There was still work ahead for him, but by acknowledging his failure, and the fears he had, he was better equipped to do something about it. He had defined the problem by identifying his short comings.
Understanding your flaws doesn’t mean you accept them and do nothing else. It means you are aware that they are there, and you need to work on them in order to become a better leader.
